In short

Citalune presents quotes from authors, taken from public domain works. The application has no user accounts, no synchronization server, and no cloud service from Studios Raxoon. Your favorites, preferences, and progress states are kept on your device.

However, some data may be processed by third parties: the store (Apple or Google) during a purchase, the email service when you write to us, and, if advertising is active in your version, the advertising partners (Unity Ads and Start.io on iOS, Unity Ads on Android). This page describes each of these cases separately.

The application is intended for an audience of 13 years and older.

1. Data stored on your device

  • What: favorites, preferences (language, themes, card style, reminder), progress states.
  • Where: in the application's local storage, on your device. On iOS, some of it may be shared with the app's widget, on the same device.
  • Who has access: you. Studios Raxoon does not receive this data.
  • Backups: your system backups (e.g., iCloud or Google backup) may include application data. These backups are managed by your system and your account, not by us.

2. Export, import, and sharing

Exporting and importing favorites, as well as creating shareable cards, are only done at your request. When you share a quote, the content is transmitted to the application or service you choose; its storage and confidentiality are then the responsibility of that service, which we do not control.

3. Reminders

The daily reminder is a local notification, optional, scheduled on your device and subject to system permission. No notifications are sent from a Studios Raxoon server.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) on iOS and by Google Play Billing on Android. The application does not process your payment details. The store provides us with the necessary information to confirm and restore your purchases; we do not receive your payment data.

5. Advertising (Unity Ads and Start.io)

The free version only displays banners, never interstitials. The one-time "Ad-Free" purchase or a Support subscription (monthly or yearly) removes ads while the corresponding entitlement is active.

On iOS: banners are served first by Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). If no Unity ad is available, Start.io takes over; failing that, a Studios Raxoon house promotion is shown, with no call to an ad network. In the European Union / EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or when the region cannot be determined, ads are contextual and Apple's tracking prompt (App Tracking Transparency) is not shown. Elsewhere, the prompt may appear after the app's welcome screens; ads are personalized only if you allow it. You can change this choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Once a purchase or subscription that removes ads is recognized, no advertising SDK is started.

On Android: starting with version 1.0.0 (11), banners are provided only by Unity Ads, after you consent in the app. Ads are contextual, without personalization. Unity Ads and its partners may collect and share user and device identifiers (including the advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, purchase history, ad interactions and diagnostics. These data support ad delivery and measurement, service functionality and fraud prevention. No account is created, and we do not send your favorites or viewed quotes to the ad provider. Declining keeps Raxoon promotions without initializing Unity Ads; you can change your choice in the app settings. Withdrawal stops new requests and removes the banner, without deleting data already processed. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings and exercise your rights with Unity through its privacy policy. Advertising data are encrypted in transit. Earlier Android versions without an active ad provider do not load Unity ads.

6. Audience measurement

The application does not integrate any third-party analytics tool. Apple and Google may, on their end, provide us with aggregated statistics (downloads, crashes, ratings) depending on your device's sharing settings.

7. Email support

If you write to us at contact+citaquotes@raxoon.com, we receive your address, your message, and any attachments you choose to send, solely to respond to your request. Never send us any passwords or credit card numbers.

8. Website apps.raxoon.com

The pages of this site do not place tracking cookies and do not integrate any advertising analytics tools. The support form simply opens your email client; nothing is saved by the site. Like any website, the web host may process technical data (IP address, browser, requested pages) to serve and secure the site and to produce aggregated traffic statistics.

9. Deleting your local data

  • Favorites: the "Clear all" button in the app's settings deletes your favorites. It does not delete your purchases, your other preferences, or data held by third parties.
  • All local data: clear the application's data in the system settings (Android: Settings → Apps → Citalune → Storage → Clear data), or uninstall the application.
  • Backups: uninstalling the app does not necessarily delete copies present in your system backups; manage them from your iCloud or Google account settings.
  • Purchases: they remain attached to your store account.

10. Your rights

Depending on the law applicable in your region, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, or objection. As we do not hold any account or usage data about you, these rights mainly concern your email exchanges with us and the processing by the third parties mentioned above, which you can exercise directly with them. 11. Children

Citalune is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not designed for children under 13.

12. Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top of the page is the effective date.
