This policy explains which data the Cliché application ("the app") processes, for what purpose, and what your rights are under the Quebec and Canadian frameworks (Law 25 and PIPEDA). Cliché is an app of virtual "disposable" cameras.
1. Summary
- Your photos stay on your device. They are never sent to our servers.
- We do not create any account and do not directly collect your name or email address.
- The app displays ads (through Start.io) and offers in-app purchases (through Apple).
- Advertising may use an advertising identifier, only if you consent to it (Apple's "App Tracking Transparency" prompt).
2. Information processed
- Photos and cameras created: stored locally on your device. Never transmitted to Raxoon.
- Purchases: handled by Apple (StoreKit). Apple processes the payment; the app only receives the status of your purchases/subscription (never your payment details).
- Advertising: the Start.io SDK may collect technical information and an advertising identifier (IDFA) to serve and measure ads. The app also declares SKAdNetwork identifiers (measurement without identifying you).
- Notifications: local only (a "development finished" reminder). No remote notifications.
- Diagnostics: the app uses no third-party analytics tool and collects no usage data for Raxoon.
3. Ad tracking (ATT)
In accordance with Apple's rules, the app asks for your permission before any tracking for advertising purposes ("App Tracking Transparency"). If you decline, ads are still displayed but are not personalized, and the advertising identifier is not used. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Your consent choice is passed on to Start.io.
4. Purchases and subscription
Purchases and the subscription are handled by Apple. Managing, renewing and cancelling the subscription is done from your App Store account (iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions). See also the Terms of sale.
5. Disclosure of information and transfers outside Quebec
We do not sell your information. Information may be processed by our providers strictly to operate the app: Apple (purchases, system) and Start.io (advertising), including outside Quebec and Canada. In accordance with Law 25, we make sure this information benefits from adequate protection. Each provider acts under its own privacy policy.
6. Retention
Photos and cameras are kept on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Advertising data is retained according to Start.io's policies.
7. Security
Because your content is stored locally, its security depends on your device's security (passcode, iOS encryption, iCloud backups if enabled). No system is perfectly secure, but we keep collection to the strict minimum.
8. Minors
The app is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Your rights
Under Law 25 (Quebec) and PIPEDA (Canada), you have rights of access, rectification, withdrawal of consent and, where applicable, de-indexing. Since we hold no information identifying you on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device (deleting cameras/photos) and through your Apple settings. Authorities: Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
EU/EEA users: the GDPR may apply (rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability; your local authority, e.g. the CNIL in France).
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above will be modified accordingly.
