Eggbits

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Raxoon Studios ("we", "us") handles information when you use the mobile application Eggbits, its widget and its Apple Watch and Wear OS apps (together, the "App"). We designed the App to collect as little data as possible: the App requires no account, and we do not operate our own servers for gameplay.

Data controller: Raxoon Studios — support@raxoon.com

1. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any account registration. Your creatures, their family, their stats, your settings and your purchases are stored locally on your device. We have no access to them.

  • Widget: it reads the save data of your creatures on the iPhone, through storage shared between the app and its widget, on the device itself.
  • Apple Watch: the iPhone and the watch exchange the save data of your creatures directly with each other (Apple's WatchConnectivity). This data does not pass through any of our servers.
  • Notifications: reminders ("your creature is hungry"…) are local notifications, calculated and scheduled on the device. No notification is sent from a server.

2. Data Processed by Third Parties

a) Advertising — Unity Ads

The free version of the App shows ads served by Unity Ads, a service of Unity Technologies (EU contact: Unity Technologies ApS, Niels Hemmingsens Gade 24, 1153 Copenhagen, Denmark):

  • banner ads on selected menu screens, including the home screen;
  • an optional full-screen ad, only when you choose to support the studio in Settings;
  • optional rewarded videos: repair the care flame, double the joy after a won mini-game.

No interstitial ad starts automatically after a mini-game. Support interstitials and rewarded videos are voluntary. When no ad is available, the App may show promotions for other Raxoon Studios apps, without advertising data collection by the studio.

As an advertising partner, Unity may process:

  • Advertising identifier (IDFA) — only if you allow tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt
  • Device information (model, iOS version, language, screen size, connection type)
  • Approximate location derived from the IP address (country level)
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, video views)
  • Diagnostic and performance data
  • A user identifier assigned by Unity
  • Purchase history signals used for advertising

The App never requests permission to access your location, so iOS cannot provide your precise location to it.

Consent on iOS: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App shows its own consent screen before any ad request (Accept / Decline / Options). Elsewhere, personalized ads are on by default and you can turn them off. You can change your choice at any time in Shop › Settings › Ads and privacy, and tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Purposes and legal bases (GDPR): personalized advertising is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can decline or withdraw at any time; contextual (non-personalized) advertising and fraud prevention are based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). If you refuse, ads may still be shown but are not personalized.

No Ads and Unlimited remove ads permanently. Monthly and annual support remove ads while active. Once this entitlement is recognized, the app stops requesting ads and grants optional rewards without a video. This does not erase data already processed by Unity; its privacy policy governs retention.

b) Apple — In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Purchase receipts are verified on-device to unlock your purchases.

Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

c) Android, Google Play and Wear OS

On Android, the widget reads the local save on the phone. The phone and Wear OS watch exchange saves and purchase entitlements through Google Play services (Wear OS Data Layer), without a game server operated by Raxoon Studios. Purchase tokens are never sent to the watch. Google Play processes purchases; we do not receive your payment details. The app queries Google Play and verifies receipt signatures on-device; offline subscription entitlements are limited to 24 hours after verification.

On Android, Unity may also process the Android advertising identifier and the device and interaction information described above. The app asks for an advertising choice before initializing Unity; you can change it in Settings. Android advertising controls are available in system settings. The app does not request precise location permission. Notifications remain local.

Google processes the data needed for its purchasing and synchronization services under its policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en. Studio statistics also include aggregate Google Play Console reports. The retention, rights and transfer provisions below also apply to Google's processing under that policy. Local watch data remains until the app or its data is deleted on that watch.

3. What We Use Data For

We (Raxoon Studios) do not receive personal data from the App. We only see aggregated, anonymous statistics provided by Apple (App Store Connect) and Unity (ad revenue dashboards), which cannot be linked by us to individual users.

4. Data Retention

Data stored on your device and your Apple Watch remains there until you delete the App. A released creature remains listed in the family tree of your local save. Retention of data processed by Unity and Apple is governed by their respective privacy policies.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection regarding personal data concerning you. For data processed by Unity or Apple, the most effective way to exercise these rights is directly with them (links above; for Unity, its Data Protection Officer: DPO@unity3d.com); we will nevertheless relay any request sent to support@raxoon.com. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in France, the CNIL (https://www.cnil.fr).

6. Children

The App is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; the App itself collects no personal data, and ad tracking requires explicit consent, which is unavailable on child Apple Accounts.

7. International Transfers

Unity and Apple may process data outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the safeguards described in their privacy policies; for Unity, according to its policy, EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at https://apps.raxoon.com/eggbits/privacy, with the effective date shown above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the App.
